All applications for publication received by the editors of the electronic scientific journal “Law and Economics of the Union State” must undergo double-blind review (“double-blind”), that is, the reviewer does not know the author of the manuscript, and the author of the manuscript does not know the reviewer.
Review of articles is carried out by the editor-in-chief, members of the editorial board and invited reviewers - leading experts in the relevant field of research. The decision to select a reviewer is made by the editor-in-chief.
All reviewers are qualified specialists in the subject matter of the materials being reviewed and have published on the subject of the article being reviewed over the past 3 years.
The review procedure takes no more than 30 days. Based on the results of reviewing the manuscript, the reviewer makes the following recommendations:
- the article is recommended for publication in its present form
- the article can be published after correcting the shortcomings noted by the reviewer
- the article needs additional review by another specialist
- the article cannot be published in the journal
If the review contains recommendations for correcting and finalizing the article, the editors of the journal send the text of the review to the author with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them with reason (partially or completely). The revised article is re-submitted for review.
If the article does not pass verification and is not recommended for publication, a reasoned refusal is sent to the author.
Revision of the article should take no more than 1 month from the moment the author is notified of the need to make changes. After this period, the author is sent a corresponding notification about the withdrawal of the manuscript from consideration for publication. If the author refuses to revise the article, he must notify the editors of his decision in writing.
An article that is not recommended for publication will not be accepted for re-consideration.
The presence of a positive review is not a sufficient basis for publishing an article. The final decision on publication is made at a meeting of the editorial board. In any conflict situations, the final decision is made by the editor-in-chief.
A copy of the reviews is sent to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon receipt of a corresponding request by the editors of the publication.
After the editorial board makes a decision to accept the article for publication, the editors inform the author about this, indicating the possible timing of publication.
